How to Keep a Baby Cool at the Beach
Babies are too soft and sensitive and thus it is of utmost importance that we take as much care of them as possible. If you are planning to take your baby on the beach for a weekend or at any special occasion, you must make sure that you have the necessary stuff to protect your baby from the hot climate and sunlight. It is of considerable importance that you make sure, your baby is not exposed to heat all the time. Unlike adults, you should not try give sunbath to your baby, as the baby might get affected severely.

You must try to keep your baby away from the heat of the sun. For this, you can wrap your baby in a light weight clothes that covers maximum skin of the baby. You should not go for bright colours as your baby will be uncomfortable in them. Try making his wear light colours as these will not absorb the light and the baby will remain relatively cool.

Before taking your baby to the beach, you should apply sunscreen on all of the exposed body parts of your baby. You should follow the instructions while applying sunscreen to your baby. Most brands recommend that the sunscreen should be applied at least 30 minutes before exposure to the sunlight. In addition, the sunscreens should be applied after every two hours to ensure maximum protection of your baby. Before purchasing a sunscreen, you must ensure that it has a SPF of at least 15 and is suitable for baby’s skin. For better protection, you must also make sure that the sunscreen provides broad spectrum protection.

Place a hat on your baby’s head. A wide-brimmed hat is the most recommended one. You must buy a hat that has a flap on all sides to give your baby maximum protection.

Making your baby wear sun glasses is one of the most important things. You can find plenty of designs in the market that will not only protect your baby’s eyes from the sunlight but will be stylish as well.

Do not leave your baby open at the beach. Instead, you should place an umbrella or something like shelter to keep your baby safe in the shadow.
