This requires you to scan the document, and pick out all the important nouns and verbs, this will help you decipher the context that the text is in and what it is talking about. This will also allow you to skip unnecessary words making it easier for you to read.

    Another simple way to improve your reading speed is to use your finger to follow the part of the text you are reading. This will prevent you from losing focus on the text and will also keep reminding you exactly where you are.
