Hibiscus tea is the most popular form of using hibiscus. Bring 2 cup water to boil in a tea pot and add 1 tablespoon hibiscus leaves to it. Let it simmer for five to ten minutes. You can also add different spices to like cinnamon or fennel or cloves to get your favorite flavor.

On average, you should take two cups of hibiscus tea in a day. Ideally it should be in the morning or at night. If you are a tea or coffee lover, you can simply replace the drinks with hibiscus tea. The best thing is it does not have much calories of its own and helps you take off those from other meals.

    Hibiscus Juice:

Another way to get the same effects from hibiscus is to make a juice out of it. You will need:

    - Petals only from 10 large hibiscus flowers (chopped finely)
    - 1/4 cup of lemon juice
    - 1/2 cup of boiling water
    - 1/2 cup of sugar

Make a sugar syrup out of the sugar and water. Now add the petals to the lemon juice and heat in the microwave for 2 minutes. Combine the syrup and lemon juice mixture together in a saucepan and cook until the mixture become thick and is reduced to 1/3rd volume of the original.  Strain out the solution and cool it in the refrigerator. Whenever you want to make the juice, add two tablespoon of this concentrated solution in a glass of water.

This is as good as the hibiscus tea. Like the tea, you can replace your beverages with it and add extra lime juice for a more tangy taste.

Some people add rose wine to lemon juice and hibiscus syrup to make a hibiscus champagne. It tastes good but is not quite helpful for weight loss because the wine gives you empty calories.
