How to Lube your Bike Cycle

You should regularly lube your bicycle thoroughly, so the moving parts have minimum friction between and avoid getting damaged by frequent movement. Lubricating your bicycle after a month or two will certainly extend its life and prevent any possible damage to it. If you have to ride bicycle in extreme off-road conditions, you must develop a routine to lubricate vital parts of your bicycle. – Bicycle grease
– Synthetic oil
– Small adjustable wrench

    Brakes are extremely vital parts of any vehicle and you must ensure they work perfectly. Start up the lubrication process from the brakes and gear cables of your bike. Use a small adjustable wrench to remove the bolts from the brakes and gear cables and bring them both out of the housing. You can use an old piece of cloth to apply grease to the cables thoroughly. Rub the cables with grease clothing and then slip them back into the housing. Tighten up the bolts with the wrench.

    The brake pivot points also need lubrication and you should use synthetic oil, such as Finish Line or Tri-Flow, for this purpose. Fully lubricate the pivot points but make sure to keep the oil away from brake pads and wheel rims.

    Next, spray synthetic oil onto the front and rear derailleurs of your bike and make sure oil reaches all the moving parts.

    Thoroughly lubricate the chain of your bicycle with synthetic oil. You have to clean up excess of oil from the chain or otherwise, dirt will accumulate on the oil.

    Take off the seat pot and handlebars and apply a coating of grease to avoid any fusion of the post and tube.
