1
Determining the appropriate location for building your wrestling ring at home is one of the key steps in the entire construction process. A flat and leveled area of ground, without rocks or any other sharp objects nearby is considered to be ideal. Keep in mind that safety of your kids is extremely vital in performing this entire process.
-
2
Next you have to determine the dimensions of the wrestling ring you desire to make. The size of the ring depends upon the availability of space you have in your backyard. Take a measuring tape to determine the dimensions of the area you have and accordingly decide the size of the wrestling ring to be constructed.
-
3
Use scissors or a saw cut piece of foam to make the floor of the ring. You will need at least 2 inches thick foam and cut it according to the dimensions you took before. If you don’t find 2-inch thick foam, you can glue together thinner layers of foam to reach the ideal thickness of the ring floor.

4
To protect the foam from getting damaged by rain, you better cover it up with waterproof material. Sew tarps together and cover the entire surface of foam using a sewing machine.
-
5
Place a sheet of plywood of the exact dimensions of the foam sheet on the ground and glue the foam to it.
-
6
Use a post hole digger to dig four holes into each corner of the wrestling ring. These holes should be at least one foot hole.
-
7
Insert corner posts into the holes and fill in dirt or cement to affix them.
-
8
Cover up all the four posts with foam, using elastic bands or glue.
-
9
Now attach hooks to each post. The number of hooks to be attached to the posts depends upon how many ropes you desire to have in your ring.
-
10
Thread bungee cords through each hook to finish your wrestling ring.
