How to Make a Cement Mixer Shot

If you are playing a gag on a friend, or just looking to try something different, a cement mixer shot can be the ideal drink. With a texture like cottage cheese, this shot makes the drinker feel like they are churning up cement inside their mouths – this sensation is created when the ingredients in the drink are mixed together. However, you do not have to worry at all because a cement mixer shot is a lot more pleasant than it sounds, and doing one can be a fun experience.

Prep time: 2 min
Total time: 2 min
Yield: 1 person
Utensils: 2 shot glasses

Ingredients:
Irish Cream Liquor: 1 ½ ounces
Lime Juice: 1 ½ ounces
Sugar: 1 tsp (for people who cannot take the sourness of this drink)

Instructions

  • 1

    Grab 2 shot glasses

The first step when it comes to making a cement mixer shot is to grab a couple of shot glasses. Measure out 1 ½ ounces of Irish cream and the same quantity of lime juice before you pour these two ingredients separately into two shot glasses.

  • 2

    Shoot the Irish cream

You can now shoot the Irish cream and hold it in your mouth for a few seconds. Make sure you hold it and do not swallow it yet.

  • 3

    Shoot the lime juice

Having shot the Irish cream, you should immediately shoot the lime juice and try to hold it in your mouth for some time.

  • 4

Swish the contents in your mouth

Once you have shot both ingredients, try to swirl or swish them around in your mouth for as long as you want. This procedure will allow you to combine the ingredients and notice the mix curdling in your mouth - this is the cement mixing part.
