How To Make a Collage in Photoshop

Open Photoshop on your computer. You will see ‘File’ button in the menu bar, click on it and select ‘New’. Then, a box will appear on your screen which will ask you to specify the size of your collage. For instance, if you are using 8-by-10 inch frame, you have to set the document size by entering 8 for the width and 10 for the height.

Now, click ‘File’ and ‘Place’. Find your picture, select it and then click ‘Place’ again.

You can resize the images which you have added in your collage by holding down the left-click of your mouse and then dragging it inside. To deselect any photo, click anywhere on the canvas. You can also resize your photo, just right-click on it and go to ‘Free Transform’.

You can use the cropping tool from the menu bar to crop out the space of your photo which you don’t require.

Move the photos wherever you want by clicking on the move tool. You have to hold down the left-click of your mouse in order to drag the photo to the desired position on the canvas.

You can repeat the above steps (2 to 5) in order to reposition or resize your photos. Furthermore, you can also add new photos to the canvas by clicking ‘File’ and selecting ‘Place’.

After placing your photos on the desired positions on the canvas, you can click on ‘Layer’ and ‘Flatten Image’ in order to reduce the size of your file.
