In a large mixing bowl, mix up the 3 cans of crab meat, ½ cup of crushed butter-flavoured crackers, finely chopped onion slices and ½ cup of the sliced green pepper. Cover this mixture and place aside.
-
2
Take a small bowl and blend the ¼ cup of mayonnaise, 1 large lightly beaten egg, and 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of ground mustard and 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce in it.
-
3
Dust the mayonnaise mixture with ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder and drizzle half teaspoon of lemon juice over the top. Use a large spoon to unify this mixture well.
-
4
Now add it into the previously mixed up mixture in the large bowl and bring together both ingredients until uniform and forms a smooth mixture.
-
5
Cover the bowl and place in refrigerator for few minutes to thicken and stiff.
-
6
Once chill well, remove the bowl from refrigerator, unseal and place on your work surface. Now add some flour to your hands and shape the crab meat-mixture into 6 equal patties. Coat them with some flour – of you like.
-
7
Pour ¼ cup of canola oil into a large non-sticking frying pan or skillet and set it on stove’s medium heat range to warm well.
-
8
Now place the crab meat patties in the skillet or frying pan’s oil and fry them for about five minutes on each side or until nicely browned from all sides.
-
9
Use a large skimmer to take out the fried crab meat patties from the oil and place on a kitchen towel. Now let the towel to absorb the oil for some time.
-
10
In the mean time, cut the 6 bread buns or hard rolls into halves and arrange with some fresh lettuce leaves, tomato slices and onion slices – if you like.

11
Now set the warm crab meat patties on the top of the garnished bun slices and top with the other halves.
