  • ¼ cup butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 quarts oil for deep frying

  2. Using your fingers, create a well inside the mixture you created and pour milk, egg, butter, and vanilla in it. Mix the ingredients until they are well blended. Use your hands for this process in order to get better results. Cover the dough and place it into the refrigerator for around one hour, or until well set.
  3. Take a deep heavy skillet and heat oil in it, at 370 degrees. Take a board and floor it. Now, take out chilled dough and roll it over the board, making a ½ inch thick layer. Make donuts by using a 3-inch round cutter. Also, use a smaller cutter in a bid to make holes in the donuts. You can also use cap of a bottle to make holes in the donuts.
  4. Fry the donuts in the oil from both sides, turning once during the process, until they turn golden brown. Take them out and make them drain the oil by placing them over paper sheet.
