Instructions

  • 1

    Measure the Cell Phone

The first thing that you need to do is to measure the cell phone and know it dimensions. This will allow you to get an idea of how much duct tape will you be needing in order to make the cell phone case. Once you have the measurements, you can move forward.

    Get the Tape

The next step is to get the length of the tape. Ideally use coloured tapes so that the inside and the outside of the case looks good. Put one layer of duct tape which will be on the outside part of the case. Once you have put the tape together on top of  a table, flip it over and add the tape that will come on the inside of the case. This way, they will complement each other well and the adhesive sides with be stuck to each other.

    Cut to Length

The next step is to cut the tape to the length and width that is required. You will have a fine finished piece with you once you are done cutting. Make sure that you cut straight and as per the measurements that you have taken earlier.

    Assemble

Now put the cell phone on top of the tape sheet that you have and wrap it around the phone. Use a small piece of duct tape to hold it on the backside. Next up make the base of the case. Take a two inch piece of duct tape and put a smaller piece of duct tape on it in opposite direction like before. Put this covered area where the base of the phone is and wrap the sticking area to the walls of the case. To finish things up, put a large piece of tape to cover the back completely and tuck the excessive tape inside the casing.
