How to Make a Fruit Picker Basket
In the modern industrialized world, it is hard to find an exclusive thing that cannot be found in your neighbourhood. And sometimes the desire to stand out from the crowd pushes us to implement our own fantasies and unusual ideas.
Handmade baskets are in fashion due to their versatility in design. It usually facilitates the owner and tends to give an expression of creativity and talent.
If you have some unwanted newspapers at home, you should not just throw them away and rather use them to make a fruit basket. These baskets can carry fresh and great flavour fruits.

Cut the sheets of newspaper or magazine into strips about 5 cm to 30 cm. Begin to fold the paper as closely as possible to the spokes or a rod. For manufacturing a medium-sized basket, it takes at least 20 or more newspapers. Cut each sheet in half and turn the halves lengthwise, so that you end up with a lot of narrow strips.

The material is ready. It is better to start by making the centre and the edges of the basket first. Use glue or a stapler for stapling. Once the base is ready, proceed to the formation of the walls. Fold the strips at right angles and weave them in a circle after using glue or staples.

Decorate the handle of the basket. You can either use stickers or you can tie up a cloth at the handle. So, that it may be easier for you while carrying.

Neatly place the fruit in the basket. At the bottom you can lay a sheet of paper. Pack the fruit tightly. It is better to make a deep basket for grapes rather than small but it should be wide, so that the top layer does not crush what lies beneath.

You can also make a fruit basket from a watermelon. Place the watermelon on the flat side. Locate the equator of the watermelon and then cut the sides of the fruit by using a sharp knife.
