Instructions

  • 1

First, you will have to decide what type of basket you want to create. You will have to cluster similar items to create a perfect theme, according to the occasion.

  • 2

Also, you will have to decide on your basket. This can be a simple basket, a large mixing bowl, a tub, a coffee mug or anything you feel will look best, again, as per the occasion and theme.

  • 3

Once you are done with deciding the type of basket you want to create and the item you are using as a basket, fill it with crimp filler paper, in order to form a decorative nest.

  • 4

Now you can place all the items inside the basket. To do this, you will have to pick a front side of the basket and set the tallest item in the middle as this will serve as the focal point.

  • 5

Now work your way down the sides with smaller sized items. Use the smallest and most eye catching gifts for the front row of the basket. The real trick to arranging a basket is to make a few items look like an overflowing basket of goodies.

  • 6

Once you have your items placed in the basket you may want to decorate it by adding floral picks to accent the products inside.

  • 7

Now you need to place the plastic film over it. Roll out a length of film that looks about twice the height of the basket arrangement. Place the basket in the middle of the plastic and hold up the sides. The plastic should extend above the basket by 6-8 inches.

  • 8

Cut the plastic from the roll. Gather both sides of the plastic film and pull up the edges to the top. Take your twisty tie and fasten the ends together about 1 inch from the top of the product.

  • 9

Tuck the sides of the plastic in and secure with a small piece of clear tape. Top the basket with a large ornate bow and ribbon.
