How to Make a Hobo Costume

  Start off with the pants. You need to buy yourself a flannel pajama in order to make up for the trousers. Then, take out the black blazer or jacket which you have hidden in your closet so that it can make up for the coat that you need to wear in the costume. You will need a little fabric so that you can cut it in squares and patch them up with the costume so that it looks torn. Use fabric glue or fusible webbing in order to stick these patches to your jacket and trousers on random places. In case you want the fabric to stay on your clothes for an extended amount of time then you can sew the pieces on.

  You will need a white t-shirt, so you can wear it under the black jacket. Try to wear an old, worn out and dirty shirt because that’s how it is supposed to be. In order to tie your jacket around your waist, don’t wear a belt, but use a rope. Moreover, use a tie and loosely wear it around your neck. The fabric patches can also be used on the tie if you like.

  Use a sunflower and stick it in your front pocket.

  Take a stick and tie a huge square-piece of cloth on it with a little pillow to show that it is a Halloween treat bag.

  For the perfect hobo face, make sure that you haven’t shaved for awhile. You have to pre-plan for this costume since you will need a little stubble to grow before you go to the party.

  You can also use a black mask to cover your eyes, but this is optional.
