How To Make a Honey Vinaigrette

Honey Vinaigrette is simply delicious and can be made by various combinations of things such as balsamic, ginger, Dijon, mustard and chipotle. The Lemon Honey Vinaigrette is different in a sense that it is a perfectly nice fusion between two very different regions – Asia and Europe. Lemon and olive oil goes down well with rice vinegar and the whole thing can be capped off with a very faint yet sweet aroma of honey. You can also enjoy this with your favourite salad which you can top with cucumbers (sliced), olives, tomatoes and cheese (feta preferably).

Instructions

  • 1

Combine the fresh lemon juice in a glass or a stainless steel bowl and whisk them properly but only for a short moment. Now, slowly keep pouring virgin olive oil into the bowl until it becomes a part of the dressing. However, make sure that you do not pour a lot of olive oil inside the bowl as it will steal the original flavour away which would not go down with your guests.

  • 2

After you are done whisking, put the mixture in a glass bowl and keep it there for not more than 30 minutes in order to allow the two different flavours meld.

  • 3

It would be good if you taste your dressing just to check if any adjustments need to be made or not.

  • 4

Make sure that the dressing is sweet and not cloying. If you feel that the dressing is too sweet, add a bit of salt to the mixture.

  • 5

After thirty minutes, your mixture has been prepared and you can now give it a good whisk before serving.
