Things you need for the hospital stay
If you are being admitted with prior knowledge then you need to pack your bags and be prepared beforehand. On the other hand, if it is an emergency visit then ask your family member or friends to bring your key items to the fraternity as soon as possible. Remember to grab a pillow for the patient as well. This will help him sleep better at night and we all know that there is no place as comfortable as home. Get him a nice comfortable throw or a blanket for good measure. This is because hospital linens are hard, rough and can get uncomfortable. -

Water Bottle
Also get your friend or family member a large drinking glass with a lid and a sweat proof thermos. Be aware of the fact that staff and nurses are busy most of the time because of the workload and will not be able to get you a pitcher of water or cup of ice in time. Therefore, be ready with your own large mug or thermos. Moreover, if you love drinks like soda or orange juice, keep it in the fridge in your room. -

Books, computer and phones
Books, cell phone and computer come in handy and can help you stay in touch with your family and friends. It can get really boring if you are at the hospital with no outside contact with your loved ones. Make sure you know that there is only a certain amount of TV you can watch and after that you get bored. Furthermore, do not forget your AC adapters or charger. Also you need snacks stacked in the room but do not keep too much food. The hospital management do not like to see the room stockpiled with a lot of food.
