How to Make a Light Painting
Over the course of the last few years, photography has gone on to evolve a lot and has now gone into a whole new dimension. People end up taking pictures for fun, and based on them having so much fun, they have started to do a lot of new things.
These can often end up resulting in some rather amazing photographs. However, in order to truly make things stand out, you need to take it to another level.
Light painting is a relatively newer concept, that sees people setting their camera shutter to a low speed, and then going on to produce some rather brilliant images with nothing by light. The effect and end result is so brilliant, that sometimes these pictures end up blowing people’s minds away as they leave them in a state of trance, wondering what it is that they are looking at.

In order to attempt or to start light painting, you are first going to need to get your hands on a camera. This is the first step, which is then going to be followed by you locating a dark room. You may use any space that is dark, but a room without any windows or any other major sources of light would be the most ideal. It would also be smart to go ahead and create this light painting in the night.

Now what you need to do, is to go on and set up. First attach your camera to the tripod and make sure that it is secured onto it rather firmly, since you don’t want it to topple over. Now the next step is to attach the shutter release cable to the camera. This cable is important since it will aid in the picture taking.

With the camera set up, now go ahead and aim the camera at the room. Visualize where you will be standing so that you can focus the camera there.
Now use your shutter speed and aperture settings, to slow them down as much as you can. After this is done, go ahead and turn of the lights in the room.
Hit the shutter release cable button and take out your flashlight and start waving it around. After about thirty seconds of doing this, go ahead and let go of the shutter button and appreciate the picture you have created.
