How to Make a Lorraine Cocktail

A blend of French and German Liquor succeeded in producing a fabulous drink by the name of Lorraine Cocktail. The fusion of Bénédictine, a herbal liquor produced by Alexandre Le Grand in France, and Kirschwasser, a German colorless fruit brandy, is capable of making itself as one of the best beverages. The taste of the beverage is properly defined after the addition of lemon juice.

Usually on occasions like Christmas and New Year eve, people tend to make their celebrations more vibrant by adding a thrilling beverage in the menu; and Lorraine Cocktail, for sure is an ideal pick for such festivities. Preparing this drink will not require much time or effort  if you are planning to throw a party at home. Do not be alarmed if your friends demand for a second round because this beverage is surely a good company to keep. By keeping in mind the ratio of ingredients mentioned below, you can increase or decrease them depending upon your requirement.

Utensils required: highball glass, cocktail shaker, cocktail strainer and knife

Ingredients:

– 2.5 oz of Kirschwasser (you can choose any flavor in this cocktail. But this article has included cheery flavored brandy)
– 1 oz of benedictine herbal liqueur
– 1 ½ oz of lime juice
– Lemon slices (for decoration)
– Crushed Ice

    Before initializing the recipe's procedure, take a lemon and wash it properly.

    With the help of a knife, cut the lemon in thin fine slices and then later on, they will be used for garnishing.

    Now take a cocktail shaker and one by one add all the liquid ingredients along with the crushed ice (in case you do not have a cocktail shaker, then an electric blender can also do the job).

    Shake the ingredients properly so that they are able to produce the actual flavor of Lorraine Cocktail.

    Strain the drink into each glass and garnish it with lemon slices.
