Instructions

  • 1

Select a mirror you want to give metallic highlight. The size of mirror you chose will entirely depend upon you and the location you want to install it.

  • 2

Take a measuring ruler and mark two inches border all around the mirror. Apply painters tape on this 2 inch border on all the four sides of the mirror.

  • 3

Take a coin and burnish the edges of the tape you applied on the mirror. This measure will avoid any chances of seepage of paint through the tape.

  • 4

Take a spare bowl and pour small amount of brown paint into it. Add a little black paint to another bowl.

  • 5

Take a ½ inch painting brush and start applying both paints randomly on the frame and the glass area enclosed in the tape lining. Once you have fully painted it, let it dry for a while.

  • 6

Use a pencil to make geometric designs on the painted mirror. You can chose geometric shapes of your choice and sketch them on the entire glass portion of the mirror.

  • 7

Now take your metallic paint pens, golden and silver, and start painting over the designs you made with the pencil. Fill in all the designs with metallic paint and then let it dry completely.

  • 8

Once fully dried, you have to apply two coats of polyurethane to the mirror and wait for it to dry as well.

  • 9

Now carefully remove the tape lining from the borders of the mirror and your masterpiece is ready to be installed on your drawing room wall!
