How to Make a Movie From One Short Video Clip
Sometimes, video makers find themselves in a situation when they are shooting without any script or storyboard. In result of this approach, sometimes they only get a single clip which is not long enough to present as a complete movie.
Thanks to modern non linear editing techniques, such clips can be transformed into a complete movie by using special effects and time stretching technique. However, that requires little bit of practice as you cannot use latest editing softwares efficiently if you are new to them. In this article, a basic guideline of how to make a movie from one short video clip is given.

Open video editing programme:
First of all, you must know how to work in a video editing programme. If you do not know how it works then click on “Get Started” and learn. After learning, open that programme and import the media file. Next thing you need to do is to import some music files to use in the background. -

Arrange the scenes:
Your next step will be to break the video into segments and arrange the scenes in proper order. Do not worry if they look same as it happens when you use one video clip. You can change the scene by selecting the desired portion in timeline mode. -

Start editing:
After importing media file and arranging scenes in desired sequence, you can use special effects and apply time stretch technique to increase its duration. However make sure that you are doing it with perfection as unnecessary effects or stretch will ruin your efforts.
To do this, you need to select the clip in timeline and then select 'Time Stretch' from tools. Adjust the time percentage and this will lengthen your video. You must keep in mind that a smaller number reduces the speed.
You should edit the clip to adjust its length and remove the unnecessary things. -

Special effects:
Now, when the video clip is of your desired length, it’s time to spice it up. For that, you need to use special effects. Do not hesitate in doing experiments but make sure that these special effects are enhancing the impact of your video.
Do not go for irrelevant things rather be creative and artistic while choosing special effects. You can flip the angle of video; add some animation or some sound effect to make it more interesting. -

In the end, make your video adorable by giving finishing touch. Do the colour balancing, add titles and then export the media file.
