How to Make a Natural Skin Peel
Skin peels are used to improve the appearance and texture of skin by removing dead cells to reveal fresh and new layers underneath. There are many over-the-counter skin peels available in the market. However, these products contain a variety of acids (mostly alpha-hydroxy acids) to remove dead skin and address various other issues like blemishes, blackheads and whiteheads. You can also make your own skin peel at home using some natural household items like lemons, oranges, tomatoes and grapes. All these fruits contain alpha-hydroxy acids and are the mildest form of peels that suit almost every skin type.
Things Required:
– 2 tbsp granulated cane sugar
– 1 package unflavoured gelatine
– ½ cup water
– small saucepan
– 2 quart saucepan
– 6 cups water
– slotted spoon
– 1 ripe tomato
– Saucer
– Blender
– 1 tbsp orange juice
– 1 tbsp lemon juice
– Skin cleanser
– Small plastic container with self sealing lid

Take a saucepan and combine together two tablespoons of granulated cane sugar and one packet of unflavoured gelatine. Glycolic acid present in sugar is an important peeling agent while gelatine will make your mixture thick.

Pour half a cup of water into the sugar and gelatine mixture and cook on low heat until thoroughly dissolved (keep stirring continuously).

Let the mixture cool for a few minutes before you transfer it to the blender.

In another saucepan, bring to boil six cups of water. Add a ripe tomato to the boiling water and let it cook until the skin starts coming off. Tomatoes help you restore the natural pH balance of skin.

Fill a container with cold water and place the tomato into it soon after bringing it out of the boiling water. Once the tomato is cold enough, remove its skin.

Now cut the tomato into four pieces and put it inside the blender containing sugar and gelatine mixture.

Also add orange juice and lemon juice.

Cover the blender and pulse on high until all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed to form a smooth creamy concoction. Your skin peel is ready; store it in a clean plastic container with a sealing lid.
