How to Make a Nikolaschka Cocktail
Nikolaschka Cocktail is a simple, easy-to-prepare drink that is exceptional for cocktail parties or as an after-dinner treat. It is a perfect blend of sweet and bitter taste that you can make and enjoy all year around.
Nikolaschka cocktail is prepared using Cognac, powdered coffee, powdered sugar and a fresh lemon. It is best served without any ice in a brandy snifter or a short-stemmed glass whose vessel has a wide bottom. Nikolaschka cocktail does not need any garnishing, however in case you want to add a bit flare to the drink, try to sprinkle it with some powdered sugar.
You can make a Nikolaschka cocktail with a lot of variations, experimenting with the ingredients. In a Vodka Nikolaschka, the cognac is replaced with the same amount of vodka and the lemon disk is substituted by an orange disk. Nikolaschka Pillkallen is another popular variant in which you just have to put back cognac with Kirshwasser and the lemon disk is again added with a salami slice.
