How to Make a Potato Gun Out of Cans

Making potato gun with the help of cans is not a difficult task. However, you do need to follow a time taking procedure and some specific guidelines to get the job done.

Things Required

– 1 grill ignition kit (The small red button on the grill that clicks)
– 1 4-inch diameter PVC 90 degree elbow (Or just a section of four inch pipe)
– 1 fitting adapter for the elbow (Or pipe) with threads for a cap
– 1 screw on cap
– 1 4-inch to 2-inch PVC adapter
– 1 4 foot long section of 2-inch PVC pipe
– 2-3 few cans of aerosol deodorant (for the butane)
– 1 bag of potatoes

    First of all, you have to ensure that potato guns are allowed in your areas. There are some areas where potato guns are not allowed. Therefore, checking the legality of the potato gun in your region is extremely important. Furthermore, you must have a good budget to buy all the components of the potato gun.

    Take the threaded fitting adapter and put it on the elbow. Then, slowly screw the cap on it. Now, fit the adapter on the other side of the elbow. Take the barrel and put it on the adapter. You may have to use a hammer in order to tap it inside; but, don’t use the hammer with force.

    Make a hole inside the elbow with the drill machine and stick the prong inside the grill. Then, tighten the screw nut. After that, you have to put some tape on the grill ignitor to make the trigger.

    Take the second wire and fasten it on the metal tab which you can see on the outside of the grill. Let it be where it is and screw the inside of the chamber so that it may meet the prong. Now, take the wire which you had left hanging and fasten it on the outside of the chamber.

    In order to test the trigger, click the grill ignitor to check the tiny spark right across the prong. Please make sure that you don’t touch any metal component of your potato gun otherwise you can recieve a shock.

    In the end, cover all the wires with the help of an electrical tape and make sure that all the components are working properly.
