How to Make a Private Profile on MySpace
Social networking websites such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace have millions of followers worldwide. People make accounts on them and share some entertaining stuff there.
Most of the people take their privacy lightly and make their profiles public. As a result, they sometimes get into trouble with their information being stolen from such networking websites.
In order to get rid of such issues, one must look to change his/her privacy settings to private. You will get numerous suggestions of how to do this on Facebook or Twitter, but is not much information on how to make your profile private on MySpace.
However, it is not a difficult task at all and can be performed in a couple of minutes. This article gives a step by step description of the process.

Log into your MySpace account
First of all, you need to log into your MySpace account. If you don’t have an account, you have to sign up first and then follow the other steps. -

Go to ‘edit profile’
Once you have logged in, you will be on the main page, which shows your latest activities and videos shared by your friends. On the top left of your page, there will be a welcome message for you, but you need to ignore it. Look below it to find the ‘edit profile’ tab; simply click on that to get directed to a new page. -

Go to ‘account settings’
On the new page, you will be able to see some basic info such as your interests, name, details, school, company and some other information. Look at the top right side of the page, where you will be able to see the ‘account settings’ tab. Simply hit that icon in order to move to another page. -

Click on ‘privacy’
There will be quite a few icons in front of you now, but you need to find ‘privacy.’ It will be the fourth tab in front of you after contact info, account and password. Once you find it, click on it. -

Change the settings
You can now make your privacy setting different from before by making a few changes. You will see an option of ‘profile viewable by’ in front of you and there will be some options under it. Simply click onto ‘my friends only’ and your MySpace profile will no longer be public.
