Rhubarb Crumble is a traditional dish in the Great Britain. It can be taken alone or can also be served with custard, cream or ice cream. Usually, it is served after a light meal and is one of the best options when you have guests at home. It is easy to cook, and healthy to eat. One might think that making Rhubarb Crumble will be a difficult task and they may consider buying it from the market.
Ingredients
- Oatmeal, uncooked: ¾ cup
- flour: 1 cup
- Brown sugar: 1 cup
- Butter, melted: ½ cup
- Sugar: 1 cup
- Cornstarch: 2 tablespoons
- Water: 1 cup
- Cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
- Diced rhubarb, raw: 4 cups
- Vanilla: 1 teaspoon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Take a large bowl and beat brown sugar with butter in it.
- Add flour, cinnamon, and oatmeal to the previously made cream and mix well.
- Take half of the mixture and press it into the cookie sheet. Thereafter, take diced raw rhubarb and cover the cookie sheet and the mixture completely.
- Take a sauce pan and fill it with water. Add white sugar, cornstarch and vanilla in it and cook the mixture until it turns into syrup.
- After the syrup is ready, pour it over the rhubarb and use the remaining crumbs for topping.
- Put the rhubarb in the oven and bake it for around one hour. Remove it from the oven and the delicious and yummy Rhubarb Crumble is ready to be served.
