How To Make a Shea Butter Foot Balm

Shea Butter, nut butter from Africa, is one of the up-to-date and most effective miracles of beauty and health industry. Preparation Time: 20 to 25 minutes
Utensils Needed: Boiling pot, Stirrer or large spoon, Large airtight jar or container

Ingredients:

– 4 ounces beeswax
– 1 ounce  avocado oil
– Few drops eucalyptus
– Few drops menthol
– Few drops peppermint oils
– 4 ounces Shea butter
– 4 ounces cocoa butter – pure
– 2 ounces sesame or flaxseed oil
– 2 ounces cornstarch

    Add 4 ounces of beeswax into a medium boiling pot and melt it by placing on the stove with normal heat range. Make sure to stir the beeswax during the melting process to make sure that it does not stick to the sides of the pot.

    Remove the pot from heat once the beeswax melt completely and carefully set on a smooth surface.

    Before the beeswax cools down, add in 1 ounce of avocado oil and few drops of eucalyptus, menthol, and peppermint oils. Stir the mixture with a large spoon to incorporate the added ingredients into melted beeswax. Stir in 4 ounces of Shea butter, 4 ounces of pure cocoa butter, 2 ounces of sesame or flaxseed oil and 2 ounces of cornstarch. Continue blending the ingredients until you attain the desired consistency and smoothness.

    Place the cooking pot back into the stove and bring the beeswax mixture to boil again, stirring constantly. You can stir in more essential oils – if required.

    Remove the pot from stove with great care and pour into an airtight glass jar or container. Set the jar or container aside for at least 24 hours in order to provide the beeswax with enough time to settle down. Placing it in refrigerator is a better idea.
