How To Make a Side Braided Chignon

Chignon is simply a knot created by pinning the hair at the nape of the neck. Usually, this type of hairstyle requires you to show some part of your neck. However, side braided chignon is something which is preferred by most women, because of its beautiful style and its ability to enhance their looks. To make a side braided chignon, you do not need to visit your hairstylist and spend a lot of money. In fact, you can do it yourself at home, which will save you both time and money.

    Take a shower and dry your hair thoroughly. Do not start braiding your hair when they are wet. In fact, you should make sure that they are completely dry, before you start making the braid.

    Take a comb and use it to part your hair to the left side of your head. Gather your hair that were parted to the right side. You can then leave the left sided hair and the ones at your back. You will now use the hair at the right side to create a braid. Start making the braid right above your ear. After you are done with making the braid, tie the end using a rubber band. You can use any colour for you band. However, it is preferable that you use the same colour that is of your hair.

    Comb the hair at your left side and bring them down on your neck. Hold the pack of hair in your left hand and take them around over the braid you created with your hair at the right side. You can now hold the braid and do the same what you did with the hair on the left side. Just wrap them around the left sided hair.

    You will now see some hair coming out of the chignon. You can use a hair cream to smooth them. Make sure you properly follow the instructions that came with your cream.
