How to Make a Snowball Cocktail

One of the most fulfilling drinks to make in the winter season is Snowball Cocktail. Contrary to what its name hints at, there’s nothing like a snowball or even ‘snow’ in this cocktail. All it contains is some advocaat and a lot of lemonade or lime soda. Those who do not know about advocaat; it is basically “a liqueur made from a rich and creamy blend of egg yolks, aromatic spirits, sugar and brandy with a hint of vanilla and has a smooth and full-bodied taste”. The ideal way to serve this cocktail is with some fresh fruit juices and mixers. It is not must that the cocktail is tried in winter season only. You can also have it during summer as long as you have the ingredients available. The following steps will guide you on preparing this delicious cocktail.

Utensils required: Cocktail or regular glass, shaker and stirrer
Ingredients:

– Advocaat (1 ½ OZ)
– Cold Lemonade (8 to 10 OZ)
– Lemon (1 slice)
– Ice Cubes (as desired)
– Lime Cordial (one drop)

    Getting Started

    Put the ice cubes inside a shaker and then pour two shots of Advocaat into it. You may also use a proper cocktail glass full of ice cubes if you do not have the shaker available.

    Adding lime cordial and Lemonade

    Add just one drop of lime cordial which is something optional. After that, fill the remaining part of the glass or shaker with fresh lemonade.

    Mix the Ingredients

    Once you have poured the ingredients together, try to shake and stir thoroughly such that all the ingredients are mixed properly.

    Pouring mixture into Cocktail Glass

    If you have used a shaker for making the cocktail, pour the prepared mixture inside the Cocktail  glass that is already filled with some ice cubes.

    Present the Cocktail

    Your cocktail is now ready to be served. In order to add more to the presentation of the cocktail, you may add a slice of lemon into the glass.
