How to Make a Wedding Card Holder
Wedding ceremony is the memorable events of a person’s life. Everyone wants to celebrate this significant day in a creative manner and do something unique to challenge the conventional norms. There are numerous ways to bring creativity in a wedding. A very small example of such creativity can be to make a unique wedding card holder. Normally, an elegantly decorated box is used to receive cards and money from the wedding guest. However, you can use your creative skills to convert a bird cage into a beautiful wedding card holder at home. By this way, you can easily see how many cards have accumulated within the holder and this will also represent a unique idea to all the guests who come for your wedding ceremony.

– A small bird cage
– White spray paint
– Ribbon
– Blank envelopes
– Beads, corals or any other small items for decoration purposes

You will need a bird cage to start with. If you already have an unused old bird cage at home it is well and good, otherwise you have to purchase a new one from the market. You can contact your local arts and crafts stores, pets store or even order a cage online. Just go for a small and inexpensive birdcage but make sure there is not too much spacing between its wires.

Once you have got a cage, you will need to paint it for a new look. Place a newspaper on a flat surface, like a table or ground, and put the cage over it for spray painting. Use white spray paint and thoroughly apply a coat on the bird cage.

Let the paint completely dry and then apply another coat of paint on the cage. You will require at least two coats of spray paint, or even more than that, before the cage is uniformly painted white.

Take a white ribbon and weave it through the wires of the painted bird cage to encircle it entirely. Tie up a nice bow at the end of the ribbon and cut off the excessive length with scissors.

Write down the names of the bride and groom on blank envelopes and place them beside the cage. The guests can use these envelopes for including notes or money before putting them in the card holder.

Your wedding card holder shall be positioned on a decorated table close to the sign-in book at the reception.
