1
Gather all the ingredients
First of all, gather all the ingredients in one place. You need make sure everything is ready and at hand before you start the process so you don't have to look for sugar or lemons after adding whiskey to the cocktail shaker. -
2
Add whiskey and lemon juice to the cocktail shaker
Pour the respective quantities of whiskey and lemon juice in the cocktail shaker carefully. You can also add ice in the cocktail shaker along with the whiskey and the lemon juice but it is recommended that you add ice directly to the glass before serving it. If you don't have a cocktail shaker, you can use a large bowl and a whisk to thoroughly mix all the ingredients. However, a bowl will require more effort and time. -
3
Add egg white and sugar
After adding whiskey and lemon juice, add the teaspoon of sugar and the egg white to the cocktail shaker (or the bowl, if you are using one). You should break the egg in a separate bowl to easily extract the egg white and avoid the yolk. -
4
Shake well before serving
After adding all the ingredients, shake them well until they are completely combined. It is advised to shake the cocktail shaker about 20-30 times before you strain the liquid. Strain the liquid into a martini glass so that any seeds or sugar grains are separated. Finally, add ice to the martini glass and serve the drink immediately.
