Lime gelatine: 1 (6-ounce) package
Boiling water: 2 cups
Pineapple juice (chilled): 3 cups
Ginger ale (chilled): 2 litres
Vodka (chilled): 2 cups
Dry ice: 1 block
Instructions
-
1
Add 2 cups of fresh water in a saucepan and place it over a lit stove. Wait until the water comes to a boil and turn off the heat.
-
2
Empty a 6-ounce package of lime gelatine into a large black plastic cauldron and then add boiling water in it. Stir the contents of the cauldron with a wooden spatula for about 2 minutes. You will have to keep stirring until all of the gelatine has been dissolved completely. At this point, add three cups of the chilled pineapple juice in the cauldron and once again stir the mixture. Wait for the mixture to cool down to room temperature and then move on to the next step.
-
3
Cover your hands with pair of heavy duty gloves and carefully place a block of dry ice into the cauldron. Be sure to keep the block of dry ice away from the reach of children because it can have a burning effect on the skin.
-
4
Break the dry ice block into smaller pieces with an ice pick.
-
5
Add water to the cauldron until the water level is just enough to cover the chunks of dry ice. This will cause the ice to steam.
-
6
In order to make the cauldron look as if it smoking due to the magic of a witch, place a punch bowl in it.
-
7
To create a scary effect, entrap a plastic hand sterilized in hot water in between the plastic cauldron and the punch bowl. This will make the hand look as if it is reaching out of the mist and is calling for help.
-
8
Pour drink from the cauldron into the punch bowl. Add 2 cups of chilled vodka and 2 litres ginger ale and stir the contents until they are mixed properly.
