How to Make a Yogurt Smoothie

If you don’t have a lot of time for cooking, a yogurt smoothie can be a refreshing alternative, especially for breakfast. Consider the smoothie as a shake, with only yogurt as an extra addition. You can choose different flavours for your smoothie as it goes good with strawberries, bananas and honey. A smoothie tastes best when served cold, and yogurt is good in the summers, making this an ideal drink for those hot months.

Utensils: Glass, blender, spoons, straws, cutting knife

Ingredients:

– 1/2 cup yogurt
– 1/2 cup milk
– Frozen strawberries
– Ice
– Sugar

    Once you have all the things that you need, it is time for you to take ½ cup of yogurt and spoon it into the blender. Instead of using plain yogurt you can use vanilla, strawberry or any contrasting flavour. However, since you are already using strawberries, plain yogurt will also work for you.

    With the yogurt in the blender, it is time for you to add 1/2 cup of milk.

    Now take those frozen strawberries and add them in the blender.

    You can further add flavour to your smoothie by using sugar according to your taste and a teaspoon of vanilla flavour.

    With everything in the blender, it is time to turn it on and keep it on high speed. You need to keep it blending till the time the frozen strawberries are mashed up.

    Remember, strawberries are hard to blend and will take some time before mashing up. Do not worry about the rest of the mixture as you can add more milk if it is too thick, but the main thing is to mash up the strawberries well enough so that you do not feel chunks in your drink.

    Look at the bottom of the blender from the outside for any pieces of strawberries before turning it off. Dip a spoon till it touches the bottom and check for any solid strawberry pieces.

    This is optional, but if you want a colder smoothie, you can add a few ice cubes before closing the lid and blending a little more.

    Now pour the smoothie into a glass, add a straw and enjoy.
