How to Make a Zurracapote Cocktail
Zurracapote Cocktail, also known as zurra, is a perfect blend of the red wine that is mixed together with sugar, cinnamon and various citrus fruits. This amazing Spanish alcoholic mixed cocktail is a very close resemblance of the sangria, which is a typical Spanish wine punch. Ingredients;
– (1 Liter) red wine
– (1 stick) cinnamon
– (1 cup) brown sugar
– 1 lemon Peel
– (4 oz.) dried plums
– (4 oz.) raisins
– (10 oz.) dried peaches

The very first thing you have to do is take a medium mixing bowl and pour some water into it. Now, soak the 4 oz of dried plums, 4 oz of raisins, and 10 oz of dried peaches in it and set it at room temperature for around two hours.
Note: Make sure to soak the dried fruits in advance before you start making the cocktail. -

Grab a medium saucepan and pour 1 Liter of red wine into it. Add in 1 stick of cinnamon, 1 cup of brown sugar and 1 lemon Peel. Take a spoon, mix them thoroughly and place it on a stove over a medium heat.

Once you bring the mixture to boil, slow down the heat of the stove, and simmer if for approximately five minutes, stirring constantly.

Take a larger strainer and drain the soaked fruits. Now, add these soaked fruits to the wine mixture and give a slight stir to mix them.

Now, place the lid of the saucepan on it to cover it completely and simmer for at least 15 minutes on the low heat.

Remove the sauce pan from stove and set it aside at room temperature for about 2 to 3 hours until sits throughly.
