How to Make an Ice Cream Sandwich Cake

Utensils: 8×8 pan, large bowl, measuring cup, spoon, knife, plastic wrap

Ingredients:
Vanilla, chocolate, Neapolitan or strawberry ice cream sandwiches: 11
Container Great Value whipped topping (cool whip): 1 – 16 oz
Hershey’s hot fudge ice cream topping: 1 – 16 oz jar
Chocolate chips, whoppers candies, oreo cookies, m&m’s, chocolate chips, festive sprinkles, Heath bar bits, peanut butter cups or crushed butterfingers: 1 cup
Hershey’s chocolate syrup for garnish
Chocolate or collared sprinkles for garnish

Instructions

    Take an 8x8 pan, and layer it with foil. Make sure that the foil covers the sides of the pan as well; otherwise removing the ice cream sandwich cake from the pan will be a mess when frozen.

    Place 5 ½ ice cream sandwiches in the pan, and spread a layer of hot fudge topping at the top of it. Then spread half of the cool whip at the top of the fudge topping. Place 5 ½ ice cream sandwiches at the top to make the second layer of the cake. This time, spread cool whip at the top before adding hot fudge at the top of it.

    Cover the ice cream sandwich cake with a plastic wrap, and freeze it for about 1 hour. Take it out from the freezer, and remove the cake from the pan and place it onto a serving plate.

    Pour on a bit of Hershey’s chocolate syrup, and sprinkle chocolate chips or the candy toppings according to your taste. Place the ice cream sandwich cake back into the freezer for at least another 2 hours.  Serve as you need.
