How to Make Banana Date-Nut Bread

Banana and nut can combine together to make this amazing bread. You can take this nut-filled bread anywhere you want. Picnics, buffets, lunches were never this easy before. All you require is the basic knowledge of baking and ingredients for this bread can be acquired from your local shop with ease.

Ingredients:
Sugar: 1 cup
Shortening: 1/4 cup
Eggs: 2
Bananas, mashed: 2 large
Biscuit mix: 2 cups
Chopped nuts: 1/4 cup
Dried chopped dates: 1/2 cup

    In order to bake this delicious bread, you need to have a French oven at home. However, you can also use an ordinary oven if you don’t have a French one but keep this in mind that the French oven is the recommended one for this recipe.

    Start the oven and heat it up to 350 degrees F. Now take a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan and do not forget to grease it up. After greasing the pan, set it aside and take a large pan in order to continue with the recipe. Take a large bowl and add sugar and shortening in it. Blend the sugar and shortening together and set it aside as well.

    Take eggs and mix them well in the same bowl. Keep on stirring the mixture for couple of minutes. Now take the bananas and mash them up well. Once the bananas are mashed up well, add them to the bowl as well and continue the mixing procedure.

    Now, set aside the bowl and let the mixture rest for a while at room temperature. Go back to your ingredients, and pick up the biscuits that you picked earlier. Try not to use cream biscuits and it is advised that you use plain biscuits for this recipe.

    Pick up a handful of nuts and add them to a separate bowl. Add the biscuits in this bowl as well. Pick up the dates from your ingredients box and add them to this bowl as well. Mix all three of them using a fork and keep on stirring until they are mixed up well.

    Now take out the loaf pan which you prepared earlier. Scraped batter into it and put the pan back into the oven. Bake this loaf for about an hour. After that, remove the pan and let it cool.
