Croquettes are a traditional dish prepared by frying the cubical shaped filling of vegetables or meats, dipped in egg yolks and coated with bread crumbs. The classic shape of croquettes is cubical but if you are creative enough then you can always prepare these by shaping them the way you want. While making croquettes you can use bone chicken for filling.
Ingredients
  • Cold and cooked boneless chicken (chopped in cubes) - 1½ cups
  • Cooking Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Condensed cream of chicken soup - 1 pack
  • Celery (Choped) - 2 tbsp
  • Poultry seasoning - ⅛ tbsp
  • Chopped onions - 1 tbsp
  • Milk - ½ cup
  • Yolks (beaten) - 1 egg
  • Bread crumbs - ¼ cup
  • Salt - to taste
  • Grounded black pepper - to taste
Instructions
  1. In a bowl add salt, pepper, 1 pack of chicken soup, 1 tbsp of chopped onions, 2 tbsps of celery, ⅛ tbsp of poultry seasoning, ½ cup of milk and whisk thoroughly.
  2. Now marinade chicken boneless cubes in this mixture and refrigerate it for an hour.
  3. When the chicken is properly marinated, take it out from the refrigerator.
  4. Next add 1 tbsp of cooking oil in a frying pan and put it on low heat.
  5. Now coat the chicken cubes with breadcrumbs and egg yolk.
  6. Add ¼ cup of breadcrumbs and whisked egg yolk in separate dishes.
  7. Take each chicken cube and dip it in the egg yolk first and then coat it with the bread crumbs.
  8. Once coated set it aside in a separate platter.
  9. Repeat this procedure for the rest of the other chicken pieces.
  10. By this time the oil will be ready for frying so add the coated chicken pieces into the frying pan two at a time.
  11. Let the chicken croquettes fry until they turn golden from all sides.
  12. Once the croquettes are done, take them out in a platter covered with oil absorbing sheets.
  13. Serve hot with sour cream.
