How to Make Chocolate Brownie Oatmeal Cookies
We all might have different preferences in cookies but you hardly meet anyone who doesn’t like them. Some people want cookies to be soft and melt in the mouth style while others want it to be crisp and chewy. Chocolate brownie oatmeal cookies is an amalgamation of different flavors. The fudgy texture of the brownies, the sweet taste of chocolate and the health factor of oatmeal combines and makes it delicious. These are moist and chocolaty and you won’t stop at just one. The recipe is quick and loved by adults and kids. The addition of oatmeal makes them nutritious. They are perfect to serve with the evening tea.

Ingredients:
All-purpose flour: 1 1/2 cups
Baking soda: 1 1/2 tsp
Packed brown sugar: 1 cup
Softened butter or margarine: 1/2 cup
Package softened cream cheese: 8-oz.
Eggs: 2
Granulated sugar: 1/2 cup
Chopped nuts: 1 cup
Rolled oats: 3 cups
Semisweet chocolate chips: 2 cups (12 oz.)
Vanilla: 1/2 tsp
Powdered sugar

Start by melting the chocolate in the oven for 30 seconds or in a double boiler over medium heat and keep stirring while it is melting. The chocolate sometimes look like a solid in the oven but it is actually melted. In a mixing bowl, beat butter, sugars and cream cheese in a bowl. Next add vanilla and eggs and beat them well until fully incorporated. Add the melted chocolate to the mixture and beat well.

Take a smaller mixing bowl and combine baking soda and flour in it. Add this dry flour mixture to the chocolate mixture in the larger bowl and it should be blended well. At this point add the nuts and oats to the mixture. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill it for at least one hour.

Line the cookie sheet with parchment paper so that the cookies don’t stick. At this point heat the oven to 350 degrees f. as the dough is chilled, it will hold shape more easily. Shape it into balls of one inch with your hand.

The balls should be places 3 inches apart on the cookie sheet. Bake them for 8 to 10 minutes, the cookies will be set by then. Do not over bake them. Let the cookies cool on the sheet for a minute and then put them on the wire rack. Sprinkle powdered sugar over them and then store in an air tight container.
