If you have a sweet tooth then you must try these Chocolate Crinkle Cookies which can be prepared easily and taste delightful.
Ingredients
  • Cocoa powder - 1 cup unsweetened
  • White sugar - 1½ cups
  • Vegetable oil - ½ cup
  • Eggs - 4
  • Vanilla extract - 2 teaspoons
  • All-purpose flour - 2 cups
  • Baking powder - 2 teaspoons
  • Espresso powder (optional) - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - ½ teaspoon
  • Confectioner's sugar - 1 cup
Instructions
  1. You first need to buy all the ingredients and then wash a mixing bowl thoroughly before starting.
  2. After you have washed the bowl, you need to put the cocoa powder, white sugar, and vegetable oil in it as you beat this mixture either with an electric mixer or wooden spoon.
  3. It is recommended that you use an electric mixer as it will beat the contents of the bowl quickly.
  4. You need to keep beating the mixture until you get gritty, black dough with the contents of the bowl coming together.
  5. Now add the eggs one by one and keep mixing during this process.
  6. After adding all the eggs you then have to add the vanilla and continue beating thoroughly.
  7. Take another bowl, add flour, baking powder, salt and espresso powder in it and mix this together.
  8. Now add this to the chocolate mixture and keep beating until it mixes together, however, do not over do it.
  9. Now cover this dough with a plastic sheet and chill it for about four hours or you could let it sit overnight.
  10. For the next step you need to preheat the oven to 350°F.
  11. Two baking sheets have to be lined with parchment paper.
  12. The confectioner's sugar has to be placed in a wide bowl and now take out the chilled dough with the help of a spoon into 1-inch (2.5 cm) sized balls by rolling them with your hands.
  13. Roll them on the confectioner's sugar before placing them on the baking sheet.
  14. Now let this bake for around 10 to 12 minutes and then take the baking sheets out and leave the cookies in room temperature for awhile to cool off.
  15. Once the cookies are cool, you can serve them or keep them in an airtight jar for about six to seven days.
