Chocolate Rum Balls are a perfect example of how something that tastes really good can also be easy to make. The best way to describe the flavour of the Chocolate Rum Balls is to say that they are like chocolate ball added with rum’s amazing taste.
Ingredients
- Unsweetened baking chocolate – 3 squares
- Almonds – 1 cup
- Cream cheese – 1 package
- Confectioners’ sugar – 1 cup
- Rum – ¼ cup
- Chocolate sprinkles – ½ cup
- Instant coffee granules – 1 teaspoon
Instructions
- Take chocolate and put it into a bowl.
- Place the bowl over the simmering water and stir continuously until the chocolate melts and becomes smooth.
- The same result can be obtained by placing the chocolate in the microwave oven.
- Use a food processor to process the almonds and put them into a bowl.
- Take cream cheese, instant coffee, rum and confectioners' sugar and add them to the already processed almonds, before whisking them thoroughly.
- Blend the melted chocolate with the newly made mixture and check if the dough is firm to form balls.
- If the dough is too soft, try to place it into the refrigerator for around one hour.
- Create one-inch ball by rolling the dough and soak them in the chocolate sprinkles.
- Place the balls into the refrigerator and serve when needed.
