First, you have to buy some good greeting cards. It will be better for you to choose plain greeting cards which are especially made for embroidery.
-
2
After that, you have to select a design which you like to make on the greeting card. Choose a design which best suits the taste of a person to whom you are looking forward to give the card. Furthermore, if you are a beginner, just choose a design which you can easily transfer to the cross-stitch fabric.
-
3
Before, transferring the design on the fabric, you must draw it with the help of pen or pencil. Besides, you can also use trace paper to make your work easier. You can also reduce or enlarge the design of your choice on the cross-stitch fabric.
-
4
Use fabric glue in order to mount your stitched design. If you don’t have fabric glue, you can use masking tape to affix the fabric to the greeting card.
-
5
Then, decorate the front of your card by using glitter, stamps or acrylic paints. You can also write different text messages to make your card special. You must use metallic medium-point permanent marker of black colour to write your messages.

6
It is extremely important for you to make sure that the design fits the card before stitching it on the fabric. Then, place the card on the cutting board and make a hole on its front with the help of a craft knife and ruler.

7
Now, trim off the edges of the cross-stitch fabric and paste it on the card front with fabric glue. Make sure that the fabric is attached to the card properly.
