If sweet and crunchy flavor is what you are craving, dip a batch of the all-time favourite pretzel rods into rich chocolate to satisfy your sweet-tooth. You will love the complementary tastes and textures. The saltiness of the fresh, thin and crispy pretzels is the wonderful background for the rich, creamy and sweet chocolate coating.
Ingredients
  • Sweet, semi-sweet, or dark chocolate chips (24 oz)
  • Coconut oil (¼ cup)
  • Thin pretzel rods (1 large bag)
  • Sprinkles – optional
  • Crushed candy canes – optional
  • Coloured sugar – optional
  • Shredded coconut – optional
  • Minced nuts - optional
Instructions
  1. Take a tray and cover it with a cookie sheet. Now top it with a wax paper and set aside.
  2. Fill the bottom section of your double boiler with water and bring it to boil.
  3. Place of your favourite chocolate chips in the upper section of the boiler.
  4. Start stirring until the chocolate melts completely ad forms a thick and smooth dipping.
  5. Use tongs to hold a pretzel from the end and dip the other end into the melted chocolate.
  6. Hold it for few seconds until the excessive chocolate drips off.
  7. Now jazz the chocolate pretzel up with some crushed candy canes, coloured sugar, sprinkles, chopped peppermint candy, shredded coconut or minced nuts etc.
  8. Now place your chocolate pretzel in the pre-lined cookie sheet.
  9. Repeat step 3, 4, and 5 with the remaining pretzels and arrange them on the cookie sheet, keeping an inch distance in-between.
  10. Place the tray in your refrigerator until the Chocolate Pretzels are completely hardened.
  11. Take out the tray from refrigerator and carefully remove the chocolate pretzels from the cookie sheet and arrange them on a large plate.
  12. Serve and enjoy their amazing taste.
  13. Otherwise, place them in an airtight container or jar and store in a cool and dry place like refrigerator.
