Baking a bread feels like a hectic job but this is a very simple banana bread recipe. The use of ripe bananas adds sweetness to the bread and the addition of walnuts provide the crunch. This recipe is sure to spread the aroma of banana bread in your kitchen. You can serve it to your children on their breakfast table, or you can also consider serving it after any meal, as a dessert.
Ingredients
  • Bananas - 3 units
  • Eggs (beaten) - 2 large units
  • Butter - ½ cup
  • Sugar - ¾ cup
  • Vanilla extract - 1 and ½ tsp
  • Flour - 1 and ¾ cup
  • Salt - ½ tsp
  • Baking soda - 1 tsp
  • Walnuts (chopped)
Instructions
  1. First of all, you need to take a 9x5-inch nonstick loaf pan and grease it using butter.
  2. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
  3. Now take flour, salt and baking soda and put them in a bowl.
  4. You can run the ingredients through a sieve in order to mix them well together.
  5. Take another bowl and mash the bananas in it, using a fork.
  6. You can now add the beaten eggs into the mashed bananas and mix them well using a hand mixer.
  7. Add in butter, vanilla extract and sugar and blend them well using the hand mixer.
  8. Now you can add in the flour mixture that you created in the second step and blend well.
  9. Add the chopped walnuts into the batter and mix using a spatula.
  10. Pour this mixture into the greased loaf pan and place it into the oven.
  11. Bake it for around 1 ¼ to 1 ½ hours at 300 degrees F.
  12. You can now check if the banana bread is ready by inserting a toothpick or sharp knife into it, and if it comes out clean, take out the pan from the oven.
  13. Place the bread over the cooling rack and allow it to cool for around 10 minutes.
  14. Slice the banana bread to the size of your choice and serve.
