Squirt some olive oil on the garlic and place in an oven or a microwave. Also sprinkle some salt and pepper on the garlic as well.

  • 3

Heat the garlic in the microwave for about two to three minutes and if you are using an oven then place the garlic in a small baking dish and bake for about 35 to 45 minutes.

After this, remove the garlic from the microwave or the oven and mash it with the help of a spoon or you can also choose to use a fork instead. Leave it for a few minutes to settle in.

  • 5

Fold the garlic into the butter and add a few pinches of parsley in it. Now mix this in order to make garlic butter.

Slice the loaf of French bread, lengthwise.

Once the bread has been cut in half, spread the garlic butter on the bread, and then sprinkle some more parsley. This is done for garnishing, which adds to the flavour and appeal.

You can now toast the bread in the oven until it turns brown, for this you will have to keep on checking after every five minutes to stop it from burning. Once it is brown, remove it from the oven.
