Numerous cake frostings are the secrets of mouthwatering and eye-catching designs all over garnished cakes and cupcakes. There are many arrays of cake frosting that you can think of, from syrups butter-cream to the cream-cheese frosting.
Ingredients
- Semisweet chocolate morsels: 1 cup
- Unsalted butter: 4 tablespoons
- Sour cream: ½ cup
- Unsweetened cocoa powder: ⅓ cup
- Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: ¼ teaspoon
Instructions
- First of all, melt the 1 large cup of semisweet chocolate morsels. You can melt them over the top of the double boiler or by placing the bowl over boiling water.
- Once the chocolate melts, top it with 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter and stir with a spoon until the butter dissolves completely.
- Top the butter-chocolate mixture with ½ cup of sour cream, ⅓ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Sprinkle ¼ teaspoon of salt over the top of the mixture and use a whisk to blend the ingredients until it forms a thick paste.
- Your Sour Cream Chocolate Frosting is ready; set aside for some time until settled properly.
