How to Make Fresh Guacamole

Here is a wonderful recipe for an effortless and welcome starter for any get-together. This fresh Guacamole is basically a rich velvety green dip, made from fresh and ripped avocados. It is a Mexican invention and got its name from a combination of Aztec Nahuatl words, i.e. “ahuacatl” means avocado and “molli” means sauce.

Besides amazing colour and taste, this fresh guacamole is nutritional as well.  It is rich in vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin E, potassium, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, phosphorus and zinc. Fresh Guacamole is a nice complement to many dishes and you can serve it on the bed of freshly baked tortillas.

Total time: 30 min
Yield: 3 cups

Ingredients:
Ripe Hass avocados: 4
Freshly squeezed lemon juice: 3 tablespoons
Hot sauce: 8 dashes
Small red onions (diced): ½ cup
Garlic clove (minced): 1 (large)
Salt: 1 teaspoon
Freshly ground black pepper: 1 teaspoon
Tomato (seeded and diced): 1 (medium-sized)

Instructions

    Rinse and Cut Avocados

    Rinse four ripped hass avocados and cut them in half, using sharp knife.

    Scoop Out Avocados’ Flesh

    Remove the pits of the avocados and use a round spoon to scoop out the flesh out of their outer shell into a large glass bowl. You can also use your hands for this purpose.

    Pour in Lemon Juice and Sauce

    Sprinkle the avocados in the bowl with 3 tablespoons of freshly extracted lemon juice and 8 dashes of hot sauce.

    Add in remaining Ingredients (except tomatoes)

    Immediately add in half cup of chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and freshly ground black pepper.

    Mix the Ingredients

    Use a large spoon to toss the ingredients and use a jagged knife to slice through the avocados in the bowl until they are finely diced.

    Add in Tomatoes

    Add the diced tomatoes at the end and toss to mix them with the other ingredients if the mixture.

    Enjoy

    Your fresh guacamole is ready; taste for salt or pepper and serve with some warm tortillas.
