1
Take two coffee filters and cut them into a rectangular shape. Cutting off the ridged part is enough. Try to close the filter by stitching it on three of the sides and leave any one smaller side loose open. With a small spoon fill the tea leaves in the open tea bag. The suitable portion is around one to two teaspoons. It depends on how strong you want the tea and also the size of the tea bag. At this point you can add half a teaspoon of any spice like cinnamon, cardamom or pumpkin spice in the tea bag.

2
After the tea leaves and spices have been added to the bag, close the top. Stitch all four sides. The tea should be fully secure in the bag now. Take one of the smaller sides and fold the corners. Put 3-4 inches of embroidery thread under the flap.

3
Place your finger to keep it secure and staple the thread with the flap. If you think the thread might fall off then you can sew the thread to the tea bag. Cut paper tags of any colour and glue them to the end of the thread. Find an airtight bag or a nice box with a secure lid to put all of your homemade tea bags in.
