How to Make Lemon Sorbet

Sorbet is an all time favourite dessert. It is prepared using frozen fruit pulp or juice and sugar syrup. Anyone can prepare it on his/her own as the process is quick and easy. All you need is an ice cream machine and your sorbet will be ready in no time.

There are several other ways to make sorbet without an ice cream machine, but not only this takes time but also involves a trick – besides being careful while adding the right amount of sugar you need to freeze it accurately.

There are several different ways of making lemon sorbet. Many people prefer to add lemon zest while some others add balsamic vinegar in order to maintain its texture while freezing.

Here is a simple recipe that will let you make a nice lemon sorbet in no time.

Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total time: 2 hours and 15 minutes

Utensils: saucepan, ice cream machine, bowl, ice cream bowl set.

Ingredients:
Castor Sugar: 250 grams
Water: 2 cups
Lemons: 4 to 6

    First take the lemons, cut them into halves and remove the seeds. Now squeeze out as much juice as possible into a bowl.

    Next take water and castor sugar, add them in a saucepan and put it on low heat. Keep on stirring it until it turns into thin syrup. Leave it for five minutes and let it boil for sometime.

    Now remove it from heat and let it cool down.

    Once it completely cools down to room temperature, mix the lemon juice with this syrup. Now give this mixture a quick stir.

    Add this mixture in an ice cream maker andfollow the manufacturer's instruction for further operation.

    Finally take it out in an ice cream bowl and serve.
