How to Make Low-Calorie Christmas Stuffing
Stuffing is usually packed with a shocking amount of calories and weight conscious people prefer avoiding these. However, you can follow this recipe to make low-carb cranberry apple stuffing muffins and serve them on the side with your Christmas dinner.

Utensils: Oven, skillet, non-stick muffin pan, measuring spoons, measuring cups, mixing bowls.
Ingredients:
Canola oil: 2 tsp
Celery stalks, finely chopped: 3
Onion, finely chopped: 1
Fresh chopped thyme: 2 tsp
Fresh chopped sage: 2 tsp
Fresh chopped rosemary: 2 tsp
Large Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored and chopped: 1
Unseasoned bread cubes, dried/toasted: 8 cups
Dried cranberries: 1 cup
Freshly ground black pepper: 1 tsp
Pinch of salt (optional)
Large egg, beaten: 1
Fat-free, low-sodium chicken broth: 2 cups

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Take a 12-cup non-stick muffin pan, coat it with cooking spray and set aside.

Pour two teaspoons of canola oil in a large skillet and heat it over medium flame for one to two minutes.

Add a finely chopped onion, celery stalks and other herbs to the hot oil and sauté for three to five minutes.

Add peeled and coarsely chopped apple to the vegetables and sauté for two to three minutes or until the fruit and vegetables are crisp tender.

Once you are satisfied with the tenderness of your vegetables and fruit, remove them from heat.

Now take a large mixing bowl and place bread cubes (dried and toasted) in it.

Also add one cup dried cranberries to the bowl and mix well.

Stir in the sautéed vegetables and apples and toss to combine.

Season the stuffing with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Break one large egg in a separate bowl and add it to the bread and vegetables mixture.

Also add fat-free chicken broth to the mixture and mix thoroughly to combine all the ingredients.

Place a spoonful of this mixture into each muffin case in the prepared pan and place it in the oven preheated at 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
