Ingredients
- Cups milk -2.5
- Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- Cinnamon - 1 tsp
- Eggs - 2
- Granulated sugar - ¾ cup
- Cup raisins - ¾
- Short-grain rice, such as Arborio - 220g
- Water - 2 cups
- Salt - 1 tsp
Instructions
- Firstly, you have to add a couple of cups of water to a saucepan and sprinkle one teaspoon of salt to it.
- Now, you can add rice to the same saucepan and place it over the stove.
- Start cooking the rice on medium heat.
- Make sure not to keep the flame very low, as that will make the rice too tender for your liking.
- Wait for the water to boil and when it does, reduce the heat of the stove to low.
- Furthermore, cover the saucepan with a lid and continue cooking until the water evaporates.
- Even if there is some water remaining in the pan, you can separate it from the rice before taking the next step.
- Meanwhile, make sure that the oven is preheated at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, so that you can get better baking results.
- Once the rice is cooked, remove it from the saucepan and add it to a medium sized bowl, so that you can mix the remaining ingredients.
- One by one, you can add all of the remaining ingredients to the rice.
- After preparing the mixture, you have to shift it into a baking dish.
- Allow the mixture to bake for 60 minutes.
- You should keep checking it after every 20 minutes to ensure that everything is fine.
- Once the mixture gets a golden texture, you can remove it from the oven and serve it.
