France, as you all know, is not only famous for exquisite perfumes, fashion weeks and the Eiffel Tower. By any means French cuisine is no less famous as most of their food items are healthy and tasty. There are a lot of French dishes in the world, which have organically been entered the kitchen by different people and became their tradition.
Ingredients
- Chicken broth - 2 litters
- Onion - 4 pieces
- Salt and Pepper - To taste
- Butter or margarine and cheese
- White bread
Instructions
- Prepare meat broth by boiling the meat and putting salt and pepper according to your taste.
- It is better to pre-boil the meat, add some chopped carrots, onions and put bay leaf, rosemary and thyme at the end of cooking.
- Slice the onion like half rings with a sharp knife and fry it in the butter for five to ten minutes.
- The result will be a gentle soft mass of golden brown onions with little curry.
- Take off the lid and let the water evaporate within fifteen minutes.
- Sprinkle onions with flour and add the wine or brandy, then broth. Boil the mixture for another fifteen minutes.
- To properly prepare onion soup, you need croutons.
- Slice thick slices of the bread and add garlic for taste.
- On a greased baking sheet, place the pieces close to each other and bake them as long as they do not dry out.
- Pour the soup into a ceramic pot or special fire-resistant baking cups and cover each of them with bread.
- Put the cup in a well-heated oven and keep it up until the cheese starts to bubble.
