How to Make Palm Wax Candles
Palm wax candles add great value to the interior decoration of your house. Moreover, you can light them up on special occasions. For instance, you can place them on the table to have candlelit dinners with your partner at your home.
You can easily get palm wax candles from any superstore; however, you can make them yourself too. All you need is a little time and some specialised equipment and tools. Palm wax candles can be made in two different styles, namely pillar style and container style; the latter is usually more popular.

– A digital scale

– A stainless steel utensil

First of all, you have to weigh the quantity of palm pillar wax which you will use in making the candles with the help of digital scale. After weighing, put the wax aside.

Then, melt the wax. Use the double boiler method to melt the wax and keep an eye on it during the process. Check the temperature with the thermometer periodically while melting the wax and adjust it accordingly. In the double boiler method, you have to take a large pot filled with water. After placing the pot on the stove over medium-heat, place the stainless steel pot containing the wax on top of it and boil the water to melt the wax with the steam.

While melting the wax, set up your wicks by using the mould and duct tape. Place the thread in the mould by making a hole. It is extremely important for you to keep the mould straight while inserting the thread in the wax. Otherwise, you will not be able to make candles properly.

Then, remove the wax from the heat and add your desired colour in the wax. After that, add some fragrance oil and keep the wax at a hot temperature for a few minutes. Now, gradually fill the moulds with the wax and place a piece of cardboard on each of them.

When the wax cools down, take the pillars out of the moulds and trim your wick. Usually, a candle has a wick of ΒΌ inch.
